Welcome

The Center for Professional Sales was designed to enhance the sales concentration offered through the Department of Marketing in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State. Students who participate in the sales concentration take challenging courses that focus on both theory and action learning which enhances their understanding of the sales process. Our concentration in professional sales prepares students for careers in selling, facilitates internships and helps provide career placement.

DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING

Preparing for a career in marketing is a wise choice in today's business world. All companies, nonprofit groups, government agencies and other organizations use marketing strategies and activities to build strong customer relationships; uncover new business opportunities; develop, advertise and promote products; and, in general, grow a satisfied and loyal customer base.
As a marketing major, students will earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. By adding a sales concentration, they will be equipped with a portfolio of skills, knowledge and values that mirror what is expected and needed in today's global business environment.
The Sales Education Foundation, which publishes information on top global sales programs, listed Texas State as a top program in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
